Add option to start at startup

Reported by: daho Owned by: somebody

Description

I now always first have to startup Guake before being able to use the shortcuts to call the terminal. As I regularly need the terminal it would be much more convenient for me to be able to select an option to start quake when logging in. (in the same way as i.e. GnomeDo?)

You could do this manually, but I agree that there should be an option for Guake to make itself autostart on session login.

This is already handled by GNOME itself. There is a .desktop file in the sources that takes care of adding an entry in the "start-up applications" so all you have to do is check the box (I even thought I was on by default, but I might be wrong there).

See: gnome-session-properties

You are absolutely right, thanks. It is indeed checked in startup applications. Still it is not running when I log in and I have to call Guake before being able to use the schortcuts. I am running Linux Mint 12. Could this be a bug in the end?

Yeah, this is an important question now that we removed the system-wide autostart file. So, I'm moving this from "minor" to "major"
